Based in Guelph, Ontario they ship with brown packing paper and biodegradable plastic bags when necessary to protect the products. Huge selection of eco-friendly products, vitamins, home decor, baby/kids items and Canadian made clothing brands like smash n’ tess. Highly recommend!

It’s run by a sister duo who clearly care so much and share so many informative videos! Really refreshing to learn whilst you’re buying!

I wouldn’t consider Thrive Eco-friendly though. I use them and the large majority of their products come in plastic packaging and when you order something that comes in a glass jar, they wrap that in plastic! They are supposedly going to make the plastic wrapping optional, but say plastic is better for their products because if the glass breaks and ruins a whole order, it would be worse for the environment to have to ship a whole new package….not sure I buy it!

I think the real problem with Amazon is that it does not pay its taxes which means that it is depriving the communities that use it from the tax they need to provide schools and all of societies provisions. Other companies which provide for their communities are going bust because of it. Also it’s employment policies are appalling with dreadful working conditions. Plus it builds vast business sites which take up acres of land, ruining local eco environments and providing dreadful working conditions. Etc, Etc

Hi Diana!

Great question— Amazon lacks transparency around wage reports and does not share our same values when it comes to environmentally responsible packaging/footprint. Hope this helps! xx
