Thanks for putting this together. I would love to see a list of brands that are actually trying to make great products in the US. This list feels like it shows brands that are already big with global supply chains and large marketing budgets. I recently purchased a sheet set from a smaller brand called madder home and I am obsessed with it. It was made in the US from 100% organic cotton and plant dyes and is beautiful. Actually feels worth the money I paid for it. I got my other sheet set from Pact at a similar price and I like it - just don't love that it was made on the other side of the world but is the same price as the set that I bought from madder home (and still am not convinced Pact is all that sustainable if they make all their products in India).

All of these companies are selling sustainable luxury, but most if not all are sourcing their cotton from India. There are a handful of American companies using US grown organic cotton, it would be great to see these make the list! If more people bought organic American cotton in would incentivize growers to move from conventional to organic. Thanks for the list!

Could you add the country or continent when presenting companies? I always have to make the research one by one. It would be very practical as, OK, products are natural and all but I'm not gonna buy something from the other side of the world. The ecological side would lose all value.

I got my sheets from Eucalypso, and their eucalyptus sheets are awesome! Super great choice if you're a hot sleeper and have sensitive skin like me. Really cooling & breathable. Seems like they're also ecofriendly - so possibly a good match for GoodTrade!

I like AREA home bedding. They’ve been around since 1990 & are pretty much the basis for all modern bedding in the US. They’re a very small company & the CEO is a Swedish/NYer who has been “green” forever.

We don't have quite as much choice in Australia, but if anyone is looking can highly recommend Elkie & Ark. They have a wonderful story and use only organic, fair trade cotton and organic flax linen. Our sets are truly delicious and by far the best bed linen we've had.
