A few things to keep in mind if you are looking for therapists who accept insurance: 1). you can only work with therapists certified in your state (this can greatly reduce your options); and 2). It’s important to ask before your initial consultation if they are in-network or out-of-network because fees are very different depending on whether they are in or out-of-network. Some platforms say they accept insurance (& it’s technically true) but most of their therapists are out-of-network which still can be expensive; and 3). Find out, if any, your insurance limits the number of sessions allowed per year.

Also, usually therapists offer the initial consultation for free; however, some therapists will charge your insurance for the initial consultation without clarifying if they are in or out-of-network which will count against the number of allotted sessions per year permitted by your insurance. Just be sure to double-check with the therapist.
